Decode the News: Distinguish Real News from Fake News

This June, Innovation Hive will participate in the Pinios Festival with an interactive workshop designed to help young people understand how fake news spreads and how to recognize it. As part of the European project Media Masters, our team will host the session “Decode the News: Distinguish Real News from Fake News”, bringing media literacy education to one of Larissa’s most vibrant cultural events.
Participants will have the opportunity to play the Media Masters board game, an engaging educational tool developed within the project. Through teamwork, discussion, and real-life media scenarios, attendees will learn to evaluate information, identify misleading content, and think critically before sharing online. The activity will also incorporate the Media Masters mobile app for a fully interactive experience.
The workshop will be open to young people of all ages, offering practical knowledge in a fun, gamified format. With misinformation becoming an increasing challenge, Media Masters aims to empower the next generation with essential digital literacy skills.
Join us at Pinios Festival and discover how you can become a true Media Master!
