After 2 years of collaboration, learning, and meaningful impact across Europe, the PeakED – Environmental Involvement and Education for Young Entrepreneurs and Volunteers project has officially come to an end.
Bringing together partners, youth workers, educators, social entrepreneurs, and local communities, PeakED has focused on empowering young people through innovative educational methodologies, outdoor learning experiences, and sustainable development initiatives. Throughout its implementation, the project promoted active citizenship, environmental awareness, and social entrepreneurship while encouraging the protection and enhancement of natural and cultural heritage.
As part of the project’s closing activities, two multiplier events were successfully organized in Greece, providing an opportunity to present the project’s achievements, share good practices, and discuss future opportunities for youth engagement and community development.
The first event took place in Larissa in April and was organized by Innovation Hive, bringing together stakeholders interested in social entrepreneurship, environmental education, and youth development.
The second event was held on 8 May in Athens, within the framework of the Youth Speak Forum, one of the largest youth-focused events in the country. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the project’s outcomes, exchange experiences, and explore innovative approaches to youth empowerment and sustainable community development.
More than 30 participants attended the final events, including youth workers and educators, representatives of youth organizations, social enterprises, and social entrepreneurs, professionals working in the field of social entrepreneurship, and community development practitioners and stakeholders. The events created a valuable space for networking, dialogue, and knowledge sharing, highlighting the importance of collaborative action in addressing environmental and social challenges.
Throughout its duration, PeakED developed and promoted educational tools and practices that support young people in becoming active contributors to their communities. The project’s achievements demonstrate how innovative, community-based educational approaches can foster sustainable development while strengthening young people’s connection to their local environment and cultural heritage.
