IGNITE e-Guidelines

How can higher education turn innovative learning methods into everyday practice?

The IGNITE E-Guidelines on Innovative Learning Practices & Digital Tools are now available, bringing together practical recommendations to help higher education institutions integrate the project’s learning approaches and digital tools into their programmes.

Built on the experience and evaluation of the IGNITE learning ecosystem, the E-Guidelines highlight an important lesson: learning becomes more effective when it is visual, structured, practical and connected to clear competence development.

The guidelines introduce a complete learning cycle, from identifying learners’ needs and using concise nano-learning modules, to practising, monitoring progress and applying knowledge through real-world challenges.

They also provide practical guidance on:

🔹 Designing effective and engaging nano-learning experiences

🔹 Using the Virtual Learning Garden and competence-monitoring tools

🔹 Connecting learners, educators and stakeholders through IgniteSphere

🔹 Moving from learning to sustainable innovation through the Innovation Marathon

🔹 Preparing, piloting, improving and scaling the IGNITE approach at institutional level

Explore the E-Guidelines and discover how the IGNITE approach can support learner-centred, competence-oriented STEAM education.
