Advance

The Advance Project aims at fostering the global competencies of disadvantaged women to contribute to their social inclusion and employability. Twenty-first century citizens live in an interconnected, diverse and rapidly changing world. Emerging economic, digital, cultural, demographic, environmental forces and global diseases (like COVID-19) are shaping everyone’s lives around the planet, and increasing intercultural encounters on a daily basis. To cope with this complex environment, it is urgent to foster global competence and equip all, not only the adults of tomorrow, but also the adults of today, with the necessary know-how and tools to use global competence. According to the OECD PISA global competence framework, global competence is a multidimensional capacity. Globally competent individuals can: – live harmoniously in multicultural communities – thrive in a changing labour market – use digital media platforms effectively and responsibly – support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – pursuit lifelong learning and stay curious, open, and get active

Impact

The Project is shaped around Global Competencies (GC) that can be described as the skills, values and behaviors that prepare people to thrive in a more diverse, interconnected world. The project targets disadvantaged women especially the ones that are from different cultural backgrounds from the hosting country or city (external & internal migration). The Project contributes to the G.C of these women to help their social inclusion and employment. We also target professionals working with women

Our Role

Innovation Hive is responsible the implementation of the activity 4, creation of the e-learning platform. This e-learning platform will be designed in order to provide disadvantaged women and professionals working with adults a platform where they can develop their global competencies on their own. Innovation Hive will be participating in the execution of all project results and dissemination activities for further promoting of the project.
