Women entrepreneurship in Europe has made progress, but challenges persist. Access to funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities needs improvement.
The professional beauty services industry is a female dominant field of work. The woman lead in the beauty and wellness industry is translated to active participation of women microentrepreneurs as service providers during the day. Automatically, that consumes most of their time, leaving minimum time for strategic planning and organization.
Technology use and software applications are here to save the day, and ease decision-making. By studying the marketplace, we can easily find ideas and innovation which are inspiring and applicable.
The EnFinCap project is here to provide all that knowledge, in the most convenient way.
EnFinCap is a project with a purpose to empower women micro-entrepreneurs in the beauty and wellness sector with competences, knowledge and self-confidence, specialized in the fields of entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
PROJECT RESULTS
- PR1: Map existing competencies in the partner countries on entrepreneurial and financial literacy, as well as existing competencies and knowledge
- PR2: EnFinCap e-learning platform with an embedded e-Textbook
- PR3: Development of the EnFinCap micro-training sessions
Impact
This project has five main objectives.
The first is to develop an effective strategy for motivating young women to become entrepreneurs and start their own social enterprises.
The second objective is to design innovative and high-quality training materials that will equip young women with the necessary skills in communication, entrepreneurship, management, financial literacy, marketing and ethical values.
The third goal is to increase participation rates in lifelong learning processes.
The fourth objective focuses on enhancing awareness of gender equality in business, boosting self-confidence, and developing soft skills among young women entrepreneurs.
The goal of EnFinCap is to empower women micro-entrepreneurs with competencies, knowledge and self-confidence to take responsibility for their lives and create a secure future for themselves and their families.
Our Role
Innovation Hive’s role in the EnFinCap project consists on the contribution in the realization of the desk and field research on the competencies of women micro entrepreneurs in the beauty and wellness industry in Greece, and the preparation of the respective national reports.
Furthermore, we actively contribute to the development of the micro-training sessions, for the respective topic of Digitalization in business.
Lastly and most importantly, our organization is leading the development of the project’s digital solutions, the EnFinCap website and e-platform, which host interesting related to the project information, accomplished milestones, the developed training materials in the form of micro training sessions, and will provide a forum for discussion for interested users.
