Green Tour
The Green Tour project: “Green Entrepreneurship through Sustainable Eco-Tourism” is a 2-year Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in the field of Youth involving 6 participating organisations from 5 different countries (France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Greece), working together to raise awareness of the possibilities within sustainable eco-tourism for green entrepreneurship. The project’s main objective is to show young people the potential for sustainable entrepreneurship as a method of both economic growth in rural areas, as well as a key factor in the fight against climate change by promoting more sustainable tourism and a greener perspective when exploring new places. The main results of the Green Tour project will be a customized eco-tourism framework for youth, youth workers and “eco-tourers”, an innovative online course, supported by the development of a project handbook and capacity building toolkit for a youth exchange in Guadeloupe and, consistent dissemination activities, including a final international conference in Spain.
Impact
At local, regional and national level, the Green Tour methodology is expected to enhance active citizenship and youth’ sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. National stakeholders (e.g. tourism businesses and policy makers) will also become more aware and open to the integration of green tourism practices. At European and international level, the Consortium expects to create contact networks between green entrepreneurs in different countries, promoting an overall cooperation and synergy between all EU Member States as well as third countries. It will also achieve better links between business, green and sustainable projects thanks to the innovative non-formal learning methodology for green and rural ecotourism. In addition, a dedicated pan-European network for green entrepreneurship and tourism will be created, which can be joined by partner organisations, learners and stakeholders within their networks and developed at European/international level.
Our Role
Innovation Hive is the Quality Assurance & Evaluation Leader of the project. The organisation is also involved in all project activities, while leading the Quality Assurance and fine-tuning applied to the all Work Packages, including peer-review, internal piloting, translations, graphic design and final digitalization of the project results.
