Praise

The PRAISE project aims to address issues related to polarization, radicalization, deradicalization, and the formation of non-radical identities, with a primary focus on adolescents (aged 13-17) in urban areas. The project’s key activities are centered around the school environment, where adolescents spend a significant portion of their time. Through innovative training and gaming materials, the project seeks to equip students with critical thinking skills and socio-ecological competences, helping them avoid or disengage from radicalized behaviors. By doing so, these adolescents can develop their own resilience mechanisms and exit strategies. Once they are no longer engaged in radicalization or toxic behaviors, they can work towards active citizenship and democratic participation, thereby fostering social inclusion, strengthening social networks, and removing barriers that hinder their personal growth. The project also provides support to school teachers and managers across Europe by offering innovative methodologies and tools, which are included in the PRAISE Toolkit, to enhance their teaching activities.

Impact

The PRAISE project empowers educators to foster socio-ecological resilience in students, preventing radicalization. It equips them with resources and tools through a multidisciplinary approach and the PRAISE Toolkit, creating “radicalization-free” school environments. This benefits participating organizations, enhances local and national collaboration, and strengthens the EU’s capacity to prevent radicalization and promote social inclusion, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable Europe.

Our Role

INNOVATION HIVE is at the forefront of leading the development of a comprehensive course and training material that equip students with the knowledge and skills to effectively address these complex challenges. Our commitment extends to the continuous improvement of these training resources to increase their effectiveness. Additionally, we are responsible for the technical development of the PRAISE digital game, which is seamlessly integrated into the platform in both English and national versions, providing an innovative and engaging tool to support Support students on their journey towards resilience. INNOVATION HIVE strives to create safer and more resilient educational environments, and these missions demonstrate our steadfast commitment to this important mission. In our responsibilities included leading a PRAISE awareness campaign in Greece, ensuring that the public was well informed about the project’s objectives and its importance.
