Ready4school: Completion of WP4 – Train-the-trainer (Pilot-testing) Activity and Local Teacher Training

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) in Skopje, North Macedonia and the local training activities for preschool teachers within the Ready4School project across all partner countries!

Teachers and professionals who are working with children with ASD participated in the Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) in North Macedonia and then they served as facilitators of the local trainings back in their countries. They shared their knowledge and practical experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), introducing participants to basic ABA strategies and methods for effectively using the Ready4School materials in the classroom.

These national training sessions aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their transition from preschool to primary education, by introducing them to the project’s key educational resources and inclusive teaching methods.

Each training featured a hands-on presentation of two major Ready4School outputs:

  • The School Readiness Educational Kit, which provides evidence-based teaching tools, lesson plans, and guidance for supporting children’s developmental and learning needs.
  • The School Readiness Skills Assessment Tool, designed to help educators and caregivers assess school readiness skills and plan individualized interventions.

The training activities provided valuable insights into:

  • Understanding the specific needs of preschool children with ASD
  • Applying ABA-based strategies to enhance learning and social participation
  • Supporting children’s assessment, preparation, and transition to the school environment

Through these activities, Ready4School continues to empower educators and promote inclusive education, ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to develop their potential and integrate successfully into primary school life.
