As part of the project’s online Work-Based Learning (e-WBL) activity, 4 Humanities students from the University of Thessaly successfully completed online internships at 2 local small-scale businesses: Preventi, a publishing house, and The Hive, a training provider.
During their one-month internships in September, the students gained hands-on experience by engaging in diverse and creative tasks that connected their academic background with real-world needs:
- At Preventi Publishing House, two students joined the marketing department, supporting the promotion of new publications, creating engaging digital and social media content, designing online marketing materials and contributing to the company’s communication strategy.
- At The Hive, the other two students worked closely with the training team. They developed online evaluation and registration forms, assisted in the organisation of learning courses by sending informative emails to course participants and contributed to digital outreach activities aimed at engaging learners and partners.
Through these experiences, the students not only enhanced their digital and organizational skills but effectively bridged the gap between Humanities and STEM competences.
The successful implementation of WP4 demonstrates the project’s commitment to connecting higher education with the labor market and empowering Humanities students to acquire the 21st-century skills required in today’s digital and interdisciplinary workplaces.
