Beijing University of Agriculture (BUA), founded in 1956, is a distinguished modern urban agricultural university under the jurisdiction of Beijing Municipality. With a legacy rooted in innovation and sustainability, BUA occupies over 70 hectares, alongside a 38-hectare national science and technology park and a 733-hectare forest farm dedicated to environmental research and conservation. BUA serves nearly 10,000 students, including around 3,000 postgraduate students, and employs more than 1,200 faculty and staff members. It offers 38 undergraduate majors, 10 first-level discipline master’s programs, and 7 professional master’s programs across 11 colleges and three teaching departments.

BUA is home to over 27 national or provincial-level laboratories and multiple talent training bases. BUA has developed a strong network of international partnerships, having signed over 100 cooperation agreements with institutions in more than 24 countries.
