WellbeingInSchools: Successful Completion of WP2

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of WP2 “MBI Toolkit and Mobile App for Teachers and Students” of the Erasmus+ project Wellbeing in Schools, a major milestone dedicated to promoting emotional wellbeing, mindfulness, and mental health support within school communities across Europe.

Through WP2, the project consortium developed a comprehensive package of educational resources introducing Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI) to educators and students in primary and secondary education, particularly targeting learners aged 11–15. The materials were designed to help schools create healthier, more inclusive, and emotionally supportive learning environments while equipping both teachers and students with practical mindfulness techniques that can be applied in everyday school life.

For educators, the consortium developed 11 structured lesson plans addressing important topics such as emotional regulation, stress management, concentration, communication, self-awareness, and healthy relationships through themes including “Hit the Pause Button”, “Stress Less, Chill More”, and “Real Connection, Not Just Reactions”. A dedicated curriculum was also created to guide teachers on how to effectively implement the lesson plans in classroom settings. In addition, the partnership produced a Needs Assessment tool to better understand classroom wellbeing challenges, an evaluation tool to help educators assess students’ emotional wellbeing, and more than 30 classroom activities designed for group participation, reflection, and guided mindfulness practice.

For students, WP2 introduced a rich collection of interactive and accessible wellbeing resources. These include 11 animated educational videos, more than 25 mindfulness audio recordings available in different durations (2, 4, and 7 minutes), and 20 out-of-classroom activities encouraging learners to practice mindfulness techniques in their daily routines and personal lives.

One of the most innovative achievements of WP2 is the development of the dedicated Mindzy App, available for both Android and iOS devices. The application hosts all student materials in one accessible digital environment and offers a personalised experience for each learner. At the same time, it allows educators to create virtual classes and support mindfulness engagement both inside and outside the classroom, making wellbeing education more interactive, flexible, and accessible for school communities. The app is available in English, Greek, Finnish, Slovak, and Czech, ensuring accessibility for students and educators across all partner countries.

All educational materials developed within WP2 are available through the project’s online library in English, Greek, Czech, Slovak, and Finnish, ensuring accessibility and wider European impact. The library serves as a central platform where educators, students, and stakeholders can explore mindfulness resources, wellbeing tools, and practical educational content developed throughout the project.

The successful completion of WP2 represents an important step toward strengthening mental wellbeing and emotional resilience in schools. By combining innovative educational methods, digital tools, and practical mindfulness activities, the Wellbeing in Schools project continues to support educators and students in building more positive, supportive, and emotionally balanced school environments across Europe.
