Empowering Agricultural Professionals: The AgroPro Competence Framework

The EU agriculture and food sector, employing over 44 million people, faces challenges like extreme weather and skill shortages. The AgroPro Project, co-funded by Erasmus+ under the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, introduces training in agricultural drone technology to address these issues and connect professionals with emerging opportunities.

Bridging the Gap with the AgroPro Project

Agricultural drones revolutionize farming with precise soil analysis, crop monitoring, and health tracking. However, limited skills hinder their adoption. AgroPro bridges this gap by educating professionals and fostering sustainable solutions.

Competence Framework and Indicators

The AgroPro Competence Framework and Assessment Indicators integrate competencies from established systems to create tailored training for professionals in Greece, Cyprus, and Portugal. By aligning with frameworks like the e-Competence Framework (e-CF) and DigiComp2, AgroPro ensures sustainability and relevance.

The AgroPro framework supports:

  • Agricultural Technicians: Precision farming and data analysis.
  • Farm Managers: Integrating drone tech into decision-making.
  • VET Teachers/Trainers: Teaching drone applications.
  • Drone Operators: Specialized in agricultural applications.
