Launch of “Wellbeing in Schools: Improving the resilience and well-being of all pupils in primary schools’

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new project, “Wellbeing in Schools: Enhancing Resilience and Well-being of All Students in Primary Schools”, supported by the Erasmus+ programme. This innovative project aims to promote mental and emotional wellbeing in low secondary schools through Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI), cutting-edge tools and comprehensive teacher training.

Why focus on wellbeing?

In today’s fast-paced world, the mental health of young learners is a growing concern. The Wellbeing in Schools project aims to address this by equipping teachers with the resources and skills they need to promote mindfulness and emotional resilience in their classrooms. By creating a nurturing environment, we hope to support students in developing essential skills to manage stress and emotions, improve concentration and build positive relationships.

The Kick-off Meeting in Brno, Czech Republic

The journey of the project began with a successful Kick-off Meeting in Brno, Czech Republic, on 11-12 December 2024. Partners from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece, Finland and Ireland came together to lay the foundations for this transformative initiative.

Key discussions during the meeting focused on the main results of the project:

  • Development of an MBI Toolkit (curricculum, lesson plans, audio-video recordings, assessment tool) and Mobile App: Providing teachers and students with accessible, practical tools to integrate mindfulness into everyday life.
  • Delivery of Teacher Trainings: Equipping educators with the skills and confidence to effectively implement mindfulness-based practices through local and international training.
  • Preparation of a Action Research: Implementing and evaluating the impact of mindfulness in schools to ensure evidence-based practice.
  • Establishment of management and communication strategies: Designing frameworks to manage the project and disseminate its materials and findings across Europe.
